For orders within the UK only. Links to order forms for overseas EU and non-EU customers can be found at the bottom of this page.

If you are ordering the Diploma in Journalism core skills package, please give an address where someone can sign for the materials. Other courses are sent by Royal Mail unless they are ordered with the core skills.

• Delivery costs are included in the price.
• If you are outside the UK, please complete an EU applicant order form or a non-EU applicant order form (both can be found at the bottom of this page).
• Residents of Northern Ireland and Scotland, please order through this form but contact [email protected] regarding your Programme of Study.

National exams are offered two/three times a year and you will need to complete the online application form, which will be made available on the website at least six weeks prior to the exam dates. Whilst we endeavour to locate you at your preferred centre, please note, this is not always possible and you must be prepared to travel.

Delivery

Most orders are dispatched within five working days, but please allow up to 14 days for delivery of course materials. If you are purchasing the core skills package, please provide an address where materials can be signed for.  We cannot deliver to PO Box addresses.

Refunds Policy

This returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulation 2000. This law applies to all transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor. Contracts between businesses are not governed by these regulations.

Customer Rights

In accordance with the law, you have 14 days in which you have the right to cancel your course and return ALL the training materials supplied (un-used and still in re-saleable condition) to receive a refund. You do not have to give a reason for cancelling your order. We are obliged to return your payment within 30 days of cancellation, although an administration charge of £10 and any delivery / postage costs incurred will be deducted.

How to cancel

Should you wish to cancel your order within 14 days of purchase, please contact us on 01799 544014. You will then be asked to return the training materials. You are advised to pack the goods carefully to avoid damage and send them back to the NCTJ by recorded delivery, registered post or by courier. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. We cannot accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit. Remember to include your name and address with the returned goods.

Refunds for unwanted goods

Providing the unwanted training materials are received by us in an un-used and re-saleable condition within 2 weeks of delivery, your payment will be refunded in full. No refunds can be given after this date.

Orders placed by credit or debit cards will be refunded directy to your credit or debit card. All refunds will be made within 30 days of return of training materials.
