Terms and conditions

By placing an order on the NCTJ website you accept the following terms and conditions:

1. Pricing

Our products and prices are subject to change. Whilst we will try to ensure that prices on the website are accurate, we are not responsible for errors that may occur. If we discover any errors in the price of goods before we accept your order, we will notify you as soon as possible and give you the option to resubmit your order at the correct price or cancel the order. VAT will need to be added to the order where indicated.

2. Availability

All goods and services are subject to availability. Should there be any delay in sending the goods, you will be informed as soon as practicably possible.

3. Postage costs

Postage costs will be added to the order as quoted.

4. Delivery

Most orders are dispatched within five working days, but please allow up to 14 days for delivery of materials.

5. Ordering

To order goods through this website you must be at least 18 years of age. Any email or other electronic acknowledgement by us of receipt of an order placed by you does not constitute legal acceptance by the NCTJ of your order. All orders are subject to approval by us.

6. Returns and refunds

Provided you keep goods in ‘as new’ condition, you are entitled to withdraw from this contract without stating any cause within 14 days of delivery. You must communicate such withdrawal to us within that period. If the goods are faulty or damaged, you may contact the NCTJ within 28 days and will be entitled to replacement or a full refund. NCTJ reserves the right to charge an administration fee for goods returned. Examination fees are non refundable, although applications to defer the examination will be considered if within the applicable timescales. (Please see rules for examination entry for each examination).

For distance learning products and e-learning short course products, you are entitled to request a refund without stating any cause within 14 days. This must be requested in writing and sent to info@nctj.com.

Please note that you cannot switch course modules for an alternative module at any time after the 14-day period.

7. Website information

Any goods, services or information displayed on this website should not be regarded as an offer, invitation, solicitation, advice or recommendation to buy products or services on the website. No warranties or representations are made about any goods other than as expressly contained in this website. To the extent permissible by law all implied terms, whether by statute or otherwise, are excluded.

8. Security

While all reasonable care is taken to protect the confidentiality of your credit card details, NCTJ cannot be liable if, through no fault of its own, these details are intercepted by and used by third parties. All personal details are handled in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and our own Privacy Policy.

Please note: English law applies to this contract. We practice a policy of continual review and reserve the right to change the above terms and conditions at any time without notice.

9. Copyright

All materials purchased from the NCTJ can only be used by and for the individual purchasing the material for private and research study purposes and must not be copied or circulated.  Under no circumstances can the material be used for third party training or commercial activities without written agreement from the NCTJ.  Any unauthorised use of NCTJ materials will constitute an infringement of copyright.
