The Journalism Diversity Fund were well represented at the NCTJ Awards for Excellence, with Sophie Mei Lan Slack winning the Top Scoop/Exclusive student category and Jane Renton being shortlisted in the student features category.
Media industry professionals, bursary recipients and their tutors met on Thursday to celebrate the success of the Journalism Diversity Fund. More than 60 guests attended the annual lunch, which this year was hosted by The Sun at News UK, Thomas Square, London.
Bursary recipient Nadya Ahmed will begin an eight week placement at The Nottingham Post this month as part of the Journalism Diversity Fund internship scheme.
