This single module will equip candidates with the essential skills to work as journalists in TV newsrooms. It will be studied alongside the core journalism skills of the diploma.
Candidates will learn how to research, write and produce high-quality reports for TV.
This module is assessed by a TV newsday assessment:
- Candidates will film their own news story including interviews. On TV news day they will produce a TV news package and reversion their footage for two different platforms.
Candidates taking this module must also study the broadcast regulation module which is assessed by a timed, online exam.
This option is not currently available on the NCTJ's distance learning course.
