Deadline to deadline: life at PA Media

JDF partner PA Media are hosting an insight event at their London offices for recipients on Thursday, 14 May 2026, 5pm to 6.30pm. 

Hosted in-person and virtually, this is event is a look behind the curtain at what it’s like to work at PA Media.

Ashley Broadley, chair and head of sport and production

Ashley is the head of sport and production at PA Media. He started at the national news agency as a news reporter in Yorkshire in 1999, had a four-year spell on the newsdesk in London before returning north as sports editor in 2007. He is now responsible for PA’s sport output as well as its news subs, page production and fact checking departments. 

 

Stefan Rousseau, chief political photographer

Stefan Rousseau is the chief political photographer for the Press Association. In his 25 year career with PA, Stefan has travelled the world photographing Prime Ministers including Sir Keir Starmer, Rishi Sunak, Liz Truss, Boris Johnson, Theresa May, David Cameron, Gordon Brown and Tony Blair.

Stefan’s work has seen him win multiple awards and has won him the moniker of “PA’s legendary political photographer” from Politico!

 

Aisling Ennis, news editor

News Editor on the video desk at PA Media, with more than 12 years’ experience as a video producer, self-shooting journalist and desk editor covering national news. Aisling oversees PA Media’s daily video output, leading teams across live and digital content, and focus on telling clear, engaging stories through video. 

 

Alan Jones, court (royal) correspondent

Alan Jones has reported on the royal family for the Press Association for more than 15 years covering royal events in the UK and abroad after beginning his career in local papers and regional agencies.  He has interviewed Princess Anne, William, the Prince of Wales and Prince Harry on a number of occasions and covered major events like Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, William and Kate’s wedding and the state visits of US President Donald Trump. 

 

Jess GlassJess Glass, law editor

Jess Glass is PA Media’s law editor, covering cases at the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. They joined PA in August 2019, after completing their NCTJ diploma at News Associates, supported by the Journalism Diversity Fund. In their time at the agency, Jess has covered everything from the ‘Wagatha Christie’ libel claim to the superinjunction proceedings brought by the Ministry of Defence.

 

George Sessions, sports journalist

George Sessions is a sports journalist at PA Media. He primarily reports on Tottenham Hotspur, alongside a number of other sports, including cricket, tennis, boxing, rugby union and has covered multiple Wimbledon tournaments and the 2023 Ashes. The London-based reporter started his career writing for Archant titles in east and north London, covering Leyton Orient, Tottenham and Essex CCC between 2015 and 2019.
