The conference will open at Nottingham Trent University with the main sessions at Nottingham Conference Centre and the awards reception and dinner at the Nottingham Contemporary, one of the largest modern art centres in the UK. It will cover topical issues, including new technology, tools and media platforms, associated with developing professional journalists across all sectors.

The NCTJ’s Journalism Skills Conference brings together decision-makers in journalism’s education, training and industry sectors and is a must-attend annual event for those who are passionate about quality multimedia journalism. In previous years the conference has visited Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff and Belfast and has increased in scale every year.

The conference will provide an opportunity to debate the latest issues associated with developing professional journalists across all media sectors.  This will include the results of research the NCTJ has recently commissioned on ethics training and continuing professional development. The conference will also be an occasion to network and celebrate the achievements of those involved in journalism education and training.
