Twenty applicants shortlisted in first JDF round of 2021

Twenty aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the first of five Journalism Diversity Fund application rounds this year.
Four panels of industry figures will interview the shortlisted candidates remotely on Friday, 30 April.

Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to a newsroom.

Bursaries can help cover the costs of NCTJ course fees and/or expenses while studying.

The second application round of 2021 is now open.
