Twenty applicants shortlisted in first JDF round of 2020
Twenty aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the first of four Journalism Diversity Fund application rounds in 2020, which marks the 15th anniversary of the fund.
Two panels of senior industry figures will interview the shortlisted candidates remotely on Friday, 24 April.
Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to the newsroom.
Bursaries can help cover the costs of NCTJ course fees and/or travel and living expenses while studying.
Applications in the second round are now open here.
