Twelve candidates shortlisted in final JDF round of 2018

Twelve aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the fourth and final round of the 2018 Journalism Diversity Fund, which could help pay for the cost of their NCTJ-accredited journalism training.

Twelve aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the fourth and final round of the 2018 Journalism Diversity Fund, which could help pay for the cost of their NCTJ-accredited journalism training.
Two panels of senior industry figures will interview the shortlisted candidates at the BBC in London on Friday, 7 December.

Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to the newsroom.

Bursaries can cover NCTJ course fees and/or travel and living expenses.

The 2019 schedule has now been published, and applications for the first round of 2019 are now open, with a deadline of Wednesday, 3 April.
