Trainees prepare to sit July NCE

Trainee journalists from across the country are preparing to sit the National Certificate Examination (NCE) on Friday 2 July.

Trainee journalists from across the country are preparing to sit the National Certificate Examination (NCE) on Friday 2 July.

116 exam candidates are sitting the NCE for Reporters and three candidates are sitting the NCE for Sports Reporters at 11 centres across the country.

The NCTJ exams team is currently making the final arrangements to ensure that all of the exam materials will be delivered on time and ready to be used on the day.

The exams team has enlisted the assistance of 78 volunteers who will run the NCE day, and act as both interviewees and assessors for the exam candidates. Without the support and commitment of these volunteers the NCTJ could not run its NCE examination.

The NCE is taken by candidates who have worked for at least 18 months as trainee journalists.
