Ten applicants shortlisted in third round of 2019

Ten aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the third Journalism Diversity Fund application round of 2019.

Two panels of senior industry figures will interview the shortlisted candidates at the BBC in Birmingham on Thursday, 29 August.

Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to the newsroom.

Bursaries can help cover the costs of NCTJ course fees and/or travel and living expenses while studying.

The fourth and final application round of 2019 is now open, with a deadline of Wednesday, 6 November.
