Additional keynote speakers have been announced for the National Council for the Training of Journalists’ Digital Journalism Seminar on 20 October 2011, at Press Association in London.

Andrew Hawken, head of digital media at Sky News, will be chairing a panel that now includes Alan Marshall, group managing editor at Press Association and Laura Oliver, community co-ordinator, news at Guardian online. They will talk about multi-skilling in the newsroom and engaging with the public.

They join Fergus Bell, senior producer at Associated Press, Chris Maguire, editor at the Chorley and Leyland Guardian, Ian Reeves, director of learning and teaching at the University of Kent and Stefan Stern, director of strategy at Edelman.

The one-day seminar is designed for those who teach multimedia reporting skills on NCTJ-accredited courses or in the newsroom and will also be useful for anyone that needs to improve their knowledge of digital journalism.
