A host of top speakers have been lined up for the NCTJ Public Affairs Seminar on 1 March.

Held at Central Hall Westminster in London, the seminar is designed to bring delegates up-to-date with key issues and developments in public affairs. It will cover the key areas of change in local and central government including localism, finance, housing and social welfare.

There will be a keynote address from Michael White, assistant editor at The Guardian and a chance to debate the proposed changes to the NCTJ public affairs syllabus.

Attendees will also hear from Paola Buonadonna, press officer at the European Parliament; Laurence Meehan, head of public affairs and campaigns at the Local Government Association; and Isabel Hardman, editor of the Spectator’s Coffee House blog.

The event will include the launch of the third edition of Essential Public Affairs for Journalists by James Morrison, and all delegates will be presented with a complimentary copy courtesy of the publishers, Oxford University Press.
