NCTJ students will hear from a host of senior journalists at the annual Student Council forum on 8 February.

Hosted by MSN in London, the Student Council is an opportunity for NCTJ students to find out about employment and careers, get tips for job hunting and ask questions of NCTJ staff. Each course nominates a representative to attend on behalf of all students.

At this year’s event they will hear from The Sun investigations editor Brian Flynn, talking about his career in the regional and national press as well as more recent alumni speaking about their training and first jobs.

Student reps will also be able to put questions to senior editors including: Andy Cairns, executive editor, Sky Sports News; Dominic Eames, editor-in-chief, MSN; and Malcolm Starbrook, group editor, Archant.
