NCTJ recruiting head of finance and IT to join senior leadership team

The NCTJ is looking for a pragmatic and practical strategic thinker to join our team as head of finance and IT.

We are looking for a pragmatic and practical strategic thinker to join the NCTJ team as head of finance and IT.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in financial accountancy and IT management and an interest in corporate governance, as well as good commercial understanding.

They will also be interested in information technology trends, cybersecurity and digital transformation.

The position has opened because Chris Dunham, who currently fills the role, is retiring in 2024.

He joined the NCTJ in April 2008 having worked at Rainer, a national charity for under-supported young people, as regional finance manager and systems accountant.

Chris started his career at NatWest and the Royal Bank of Scotland, working there for more than two decades.

The NCTJ is based in a converted granary in the North Essex village of Newport, near Saffron Walden.
