The NCTJ is to hold a photography seminar at Press Association in London on 27 September.

The event, which will feature a range of industry speakers, will also provide an opportunity to reunite photographers from the very first NCTJ press photography course in 1964.

One of the speakers at the event will be Ian Wright, a former student from the first course. Ian will speak about his experiences and career that saw him photographing rock stars including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana and personalities like Alfred Hitchcock and Frank Sinatra.

Ian started his career at The Northern Echo before moving to The Sunday Times and later working for the Radio Times and others around the world.

Joining Ian will be press photographers from newspapers and agencies discussing training options and the industry. The seminar will be interesting for both current photographers and also anyone interested in becoming a press photographer or learning more about training.

This unmissable event will run throughout the afternoon and further details regarding timings will be released soon.
