The NCTJ’s specialist option in Business and Finance Journalism is now available to study as part of the Diploma in Journalism distance learning programme.

The option covers topics including: global economics and international finance; business and industry; corporate finance; the domestic economy; and banking and consumer affairs. It also covers business features as well as news reporting.

It is designed to equip candidates with sufficient understanding of both domestic and international politics and economics to be able to report on a wide range of issues relating to business and finance, and to do so with the ability to humanise complex subjects, making them accessible to a general audience.

The distance learning package costs £105 VAT and can be purchased from the NCTJ website; either by completing the order form or visiting the online shop.
