Early bird bookings are now being taken for the 2011 National Council for the Training of Journalists’ Journalism Skills Conference in Northern Ireland.

This year’s conference will round off the NCTJ’s 60th anniversary celebrations. It is taking place in Belfast on 30 November and 01 December 2011, and will visit iconic local venues including the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont and Belfast City Hall.

The packed programme will feature speakers from the world of politics and the media and will also be a chance to celebrate the quality journalism training that exists in Northern Ireland.

The NCTJ is offering a special early booking rate at a discount of up to 15% and for the first time there is also the option to include hotel accommodation at a preferential rate.

As well as a conference booking rate, media professionals can also simply attend the gala dinner on the evening of 30 November and the NCTJ is offering a discount for table bookings of ten.

This dynamic conference will provide the opportunity for stimulating discussions about the latest issues associated with developing professional journalists across all media sectors. The conference will also be an occasion to network and celebrate the achievements of those involved in journalism education and training.
