McNae co-author to lead NCTJ Defamation Act seminar

Mike Dodd, co-author of McNae’s Essential Media Law for Journalists, will be delivering the NCTJ’s Defamation Act seminar on Friday 18 October.

The Press Association’s specialist legal advisor and editor of Media Lawyer will lead the seminar at Bloomberg in London. Topics covered include: 

  • How traditional defamation defences are being updated and redefined
  • New rules on web libel law
  • The new benchmark for defining a defamatory statement
