The work of a well-known NCTJ Press Photography and Photojournalism tutor has been recognised with a lifetime achievement award.

Paul Delmar has taught aspiring photographers and photojournalists on the NCTJ accredited course at Sheffield College, Norton Centre, for the past 30 years.

Last week Paul won the Lifetime Achievement category of the Learning and Skills Improvement Service STAR Awards which aims to honour the ‘unsung heroes’ of further education.

Paul said: “It has been a privilege to train all these photographers and photojournalists who, over the years, have taught me as much as I have taught them.

“The NCTJ course has given a unique opportunity to hundreds of photographers and photojournalists who are now extremely successful throughout the country.”
