The Leveson Inquiry into the culture practice and ethics of the press has asked for further information on “how ethics are taught and promulgated amongst journalists”.

Following recent seminar discussions, Lord Leveson has asked for answers to 12 questions covering culture, practices and ethics, standards, and public interest.

The NCTJ wrote to the Inquiry to set the record straight after an academic suggested at the seminar on 5 October that the NCTJ does not teach ethics.

More information is on the Leveson Inquiry website including how to make submissions: http://www.levesoninquiry.org.uk/
