The shortlist for the second round of Journalism Diversity Fund bursaries has now been announced.
Ten applicants have been invited for interview and will be questioned by a panel of editors and senior journalists next month.

The interviews will take place at the NCTJ offices in Newport, Essex, on Friday 10 August. The interviewees will be asked various questions about their passion for journalism, financial need and diversity.

Successful interviewees will be awarded a bursary to cover the cost of their journalism training. A contribution towards travel or living expenses may also be awarded depending on financial need.

Unsuccessful applicants will receive a letter with feedback on their individual applications from the shortlisting panel.

Those starting an accredited course after December 2012 can apply for the third round of bursaries. The closing date for applications is Friday 26th October 2012.
