Full programme unveiled for Google News Lab workshop

A host of top speakers have been lined up for the Google News Lab and NCTJ digital tools and skills for journalism workshop on Wednesday, 2 March.

A host of top speakers have been lined up for the Google News Lab and NCTJ digital tools and skills for journalism workshop on Wednesday, 2 March.

The free workshop, hosted at Google's UK headquarters in London, will focus on investigative journalism and fact checking, as well as the latest online tools for journalists.

Google News Lab’s Matt Cooke will lead a workshop on Google Advanced Search, Google Image Search, Google Public Data, Google Trends, Google Maps, Fusion Tables and Street View.

Attendees will also hear from Crofton Black and Abigail Fielding-Smith from The Bureau of Investigative Journalism on using data to investigate national security stories, and Joseph O’Leary, senior researcher at Full Fact, who will share tips on making stories out of data.
