Fifteen aspiring journalists have been shortlisted in the third round of the 2018 Journalism Diversity Fund, which could help pay for the cost of their NCTJ-accredited journalism training.
The additional round was opened after a high demand in cohort two, which saw twenty-five bursaries being awarded.

Two panels of senior industry figures will interview fourteen of the shortlisted candidates at the Daily Mail and General Trust offices in London on Thursday, 30 August. One candidate will attend the next round of interviews on Friday, 7 December at the BBC.

Bursaries are awarded to those who have a passion for journalism, financial need and can demonstrate how they will bring diversity to the newsroom.

Bursaries can cover NCTJ course fees and/or travel and living expenses.

The fourth and final application round is open now, with a deadline of 7 November.
