End-point assessment markers needed

The NCTJ is looking to recruit individuals with an experienced journalistic background to join our team of end-point assessment (EPA) markers for the Level 3 apprenticeship standard for a junior journalist.

The NCTJ is looking to recruit individuals with an experienced journalistic background to join our team of end-point assessment (EPA) markers for the Level 3 apprenticeship standard for a junior journalist. 

If you are interested in helping to ensure journalism training standards are maintained in line with current industry requirements and can commit to provide a worthwhile service to young apprentices, then we would like to hear from you.

Liaising with our senior exams controller and quality and assessment manager, projects will be allocated to you to mark with a completion deadline. Fees are paid for marking and payment depends on the level and number of projects you mark.

Key skills required to be an effective EPA assessor are:
Attention to detail
Speed and accuracy
Good organisational skills
Concentration and rigour
Patience
Consistency

NCTJ requirements include:
Evidence of high journalistic standards
Preferably NCTJ qualified
Reference from a senior working editor
