Are you an experienced journalist, with a passion for all things showbiz and celebrity? Do you keep up with the latest celebrity gossip, red carpet events and scandals? Then you might just be our next Showbiz Reporter!
You will generate new and exciting showbiz content for The Mirror and all Reach magazine titles including OK!, New, S magazine, Notebook and Love Sunday. You will use your bursting contacts book to ensure we stay one step ahead when it comes to the latest in showbiz.
We’re looking for fresh ideas and new perspectives from people from a wide range of backgrounds, and we want you to tell us the stories you believe are important from our many communities so we can continue to diversify our content.

This role is home and hub based, linked to our Canary Wharf Hub in London (minimum 2 days per week from the hub). We are therefore open to candidates based in and around London.
Job Description
What will the role involve?
You will generate and write exclusive celebrity and showbiz content for our Mirror and magazines digital and print platforms. You curate exciting stories, celebrity interviews and breaking news covering celeb focused stories from the UK and beyond. You will attend exciting red carpet events, acting as a representative for the Mirror and our magazine brands.
You will help to grow the audience of our brands by breaking showbiz exclusives that appeal to our readers. You will contribute to video and social media content while writing in different styles and tones, for our various audiences and platforms. This role involves shift working, including unsociable hours for events, evenings and weekends on a rota basis, so a flexible approach is required.
Qualifications
Who are we looking for?
You are an experienced journalist with your NCTJ or equivalent qualification, media law knowledge and a proven track record of writing showbiz content in a fast paced magazine or newsroom environment. Whether it is celebrity feuds, pregnancy announcements or break ups, you’re always in the know. You’re clued up on showbiz news from around the globe, with a particular interest in the UK and the US.
You are a fantastic writer , who works quickly and accurately. You are just as confident attending red carpet events as you are interviewing big celebrities in person and you have a bursting contacts book full of PRs, agents and celebrities. You ideally have experience creating both digital and print showbiz content and can move seamlessly between Mirror and magazine styles.
