Senior Reporter – Darlington
Key Responsibilities
- Manage live blogs on breaking incidents and cover issues that matter to the community.
- Create engaging stories for The Northern Echo and the Darlington & Stockton Times.
- Identify and react swiftly to news trends, ensuring timely and relevant coverage.
- Conduct in-depth investigations and develop campaigns that align with our distinguished history.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in a digital newsroom, with a strong understanding of modern journalism pressures.
- Ability to spot and react to news trends quickly.
- Comfortable with live blogging and investigative journalism.
- Outstanding trainees with NCTJ prelims (including shorthand) will be considered.
- A valid driving licence is essential.
