Reporter – Newsquest (Suffolk)

The East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star are looking for a reporter to join our busy and friendly team.

We want an ambitious, digitally-skilled and versatile journalist to unearth the best breaking news and dig out the unusual and interesting in our beloved home patch.

The right candidate will be hard-working, full of ideas and relaxed telling stories in all ways across our various platforms. A big part of the job will also be immersing yourself in social media, building contacts and understanding what matters to the community.

A good knowledge of Suffolk is preferred.  You will have a journalism degree and ideally hold NCTJ qualifications and 100wpm shorthand: you may be beginning your career in journalism or be a fully qualified senior reporter.

If you have a journalism degree that is not NCTJ-accredited, we will provide the relevant additional training for you to become a fully NCTJ-qualified journalist.

A driving licence is essential.
