About the Role

As our News Reporter, you will:

  • Write news alerts and news summaries accurately, quickly and with high standards of credibility, in accordance with Reuters principles and operating standards
  • Identify market-moving figures and comments to filter out news stories from sources including electronic news releases, conferences calls, Webcasts
  • Explain reasons behind stock moves in form of short stories
  • Write short alerts and stories on Austrian, German and Swiss macroeconomic data such as GDP and inflation
  • Write breaking-news stories focused on German, Austrian, and Swiss companies

 

About You

To be our News Reporter, you will likely have:

  • Fluency in English and advanced German
  • Comfort with handling financial data and facts accurately and quickly
  • Ability to write with speed, clarity, accuracy and freedom from bias
  • A sound command of grammar, spelling, punctuation
  • An ability to work under time pressure
  • Willingness to undertake shifts
  • Openness to emerging technologies, including AI-powered tools for news verification, data analysis, and content creation, to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving media landscape
