Junior Digital Designer – Sky Sports Social Media – Sky Sports (London)

This role is for a Junior Digital Designer to work within the Content Production and Design area of Sky Sports Social Media team, using the best techniques create market-leading social-first content with a focus on vertical video and compelling imagery and gfx for all Social Media platforms.

The role requires close collaboration and communication with the Social Media Publishing Hub, who will commission content to be created by the design team, as well as other areas of the digital team.

Reporting to the Digital Design Producer, this is an important role that will ensure Sky Sports becomes the sports media brand of choice for U35s and Female audiences, while creating revenue opportunities and supporting Sky Sports’ overarching business objectives.

What you’ll do:
Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and design video to be used across all Sky Sports social channels, with a specific focus on vertical video story telling for Tiktok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • Ability to turn a breaking story into an engaging image or video in a short space of time for a variety of digital and social platforms and channels.
  • Create strong creative content across all Sky Sports Social channels.
  • Edit a range of sports video for our social platforms, making them social-first and engaging, tapping into trends, including trending audio wherever possible.
  • Contribute new ideas and propositions to ensure the continued evolution of Sky Sports digital and social platforms.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of current sporting issues, stories and rival publishers.
  • Work closely with the wider Content Production and Design team as well as the Social Media Publishing Hub, to find ways to push boundaries with our content.
  • Ensure that lines of communication within and across departments are clear and workable
