WHY JOIN THE TEAM
You will be part of the BBC Hausa service, one of the BBC’s most influential African language services, reaching millions of people across Nigeria, the Sahel, and the wider diaspora.

• Excellent editorial judgement, writing, and storytelling skills.  Ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy newsroom environment.
• Experience producing or adapting content for social media platforms. Confidence using analytics and audience insights to refine content.
• Basic video filming and editing skills, including short-form vertical video (Final Cut Pro desirable). Ability to create visually engaging content using tools such as Canva.

If you bring many of these skills — along with curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to BBC values — we would be delighted to hear from you and encourage you to apply.
