Desk Editor (Live)- National World (Remote)

The Scotsman, Scotland’s renowned national newsbrand, is seeking to recruit a live editor as we further expand our digital operation.

Managing a live team, and also working across the newsroom, this key role will be charged with further driving audience to our fantastic journalism while continuing to develop new and innovative approaches to storytelling.

We are seeking an energetic, target-driven professional, bursting with ideas, who has an excellent knowledge of digital publishing and a proven track record of success. The ability to deliver accurate, quality and engaging content in a fast-paced pressured environment is a prerequisite.

A qualified senior journalist with newsdesk experience, you will not be someone who waits to be told what to do, and will take the lead in planning and executing coverage of major events. Experience in video editing would be an advantage.
