Over two decades, Energy Voice (a DC Thomson brand), has established itself as the pre-eminent news service for the UK energy sector. In recent years the brand has built a reputation for excellence in events, podcasting and other digital media formats, and seen rapid revenue growth as a consequence.

We are now entering an exciting new phase of our development, broadcasting the North Sea energy transition and, through our new E-FWD brand, providing forward thinking energy leaders with the insight and connectivity they need to accelerate progress in energy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and write stories for E-FWD site on key themes
  • Work with the team to generate original ideas for feature articles/AV content/podcasts/whitepapers/special reports
  • Edit and advise on content generated by in-house team and freelancers
  • Ideate and execute new content series
  • Conduct interviews with industry leaders and build network
  • Push content and personal profile on social channels such as LinkedIn
  • Represent E-FWD brand at internal and external events.
  • Work closely with the Energy Voice team to ensure best in class reporting

 

Skills and experience

  • Have proven editorial experience
  • Have expertise in the energy sector
  • Track record of reporting, writing and editing
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal and IT skills
  • Relevant degree qualification (desirable)

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 35 hours per week from our London/Aberdeen/Edinburgh Office. This is a hybrid role offering a blend of home and office working.
