Tech commerce content editor – Reach (London)
Do you keep up to date with the latest tech releases, from the newest smartphone, headphones and cameras to TVs, laptops and beyond? Do you have a background in writing and editing trustworthy, affiliate tech content? Are you an experienced people manager with expert level SEO knowledge?
Then you may be our new Tech Commerce Content Editor. This is a unique opportunity to research, pitch, write and optimise tech commerce stories for some of the UK’s biggest national and regional news brands including but not limited to The Mirror and Daily Express.
Working within our central Affiliates team, you will play a pivotal role in developing our tech commerce strategies, revenue targets and content planning, spanning a range of different product categories that will help our readers save money and make informed buying choices. You will utilise your SEO knowledge and skills to optimise content and keep track of performance.

This role is home based and we are therefore open to candidates based across the UK.
What will the role involve?
You and your team will write engaging, audience-led consumer content with particular emphasis on tech buying guides, product reviews and deals. You will be accountable for revenue and output targets for you and your team. You will utilise our suite of analytical tools including but not limited to Semrush, GA, Trackonomics, Skimlinks and Amazon Associates to identify opportunities for commercial technology content.
You will create and implement content plans to drive traffic, finding new and innovative ways to promote content off-platform especially around major affiliate opportunities including Black Friday and Amazon Prime Day. You will build relationships across various newsrooms, to develop and deepen expertise in specific category verticals to build domain authority and drive search effectiveness.
Who are we looking for?
You are an experienced technology writer and editor with a proven track record of delivering meaningful and high revenues from commerce content. You have significant quantifiable experience generating revenue with your content through key content partners like Amazon and Skimlinks, always ensuring your content ranks highly using SEO. You have a quantitative mindset with a keen eye for spotting commerce opportunities and tracking content performance drivers through traffic revenue, CTR and CVR.
You have a passion for consumer content and a deep understanding of customer trends and retailer dynamics. You are an expert in your field with your finger on the pulse of the latest trending tech products including smart home gadgets, consumer driven apps, gaming and beyond. You are an experienced people manager and motivator who can develop and nurture relationships with numerous newsrooms and senior editorial leaders, fostering a best practice environment for all Reach commerce content.
