Business Editor, Midland News Association – National World (Wolverhampton)

Here is a rare opportunity to take on a key role at Midland News Association, publisher of the Express & Star and Shropshire Star.

We are looking for a Business Editor who can bring in engaging and unique content that will interest all readers.

Midland News Association is a champion of business. We are always looking to forge new relationships to cement our position as front and centre for business coverage.

As Business Editor you will be expected to build contacts with leaders in industry and become a respected and expert voice on the subject, with the ability to lead discussions and drive news agendas.

You will be part of a team covering one of the most diverse and interesting regions in business.

It is an exciting and dynamic place to work, with a proud manufacturing tradition but also a world-class workforce equipped to lead in high-tech industries of the future. It has companies that are world-leading in agricultural development and a thriving tourism economy.

The right candidate must be bursting with ideas on how to develop lively news coverage and features that will inform those involved in business but also entertain our wider readership through words, pictures and creative video. You should feel comfortable engaging through social media and promoting stories through our digital newsletters.

You will also be able to co-operate with colleagues by helping to drive forward our online audience as well as exploring commercial opportunities through our specialist supplements, print publications and business events.

You will be expected to be based in one of our offices, in Wolverhampton and Telford, but we also offer the flexibility of home working.
