Assistant Producer, 12 Month FTC

Your Role: TalkTV is looking for a talented Assistant Producer with a passion for news and current affairs to join our team. You will be part of the editorial team for the daily news and discussion, generating original ideas and bringing in exclusive content.

Day to day you will:

  • Pitching story ideas to the team, suggesting guests or topics from the news and social media
  • Selecting and editing content
  • Booking guests and writing briefs
  • Working with high profile talent and establish contacts with some of the UK’s best-known commentators and broadcasters
  • Supporting Producers

What we’re looking for from you: 

  • A strong understanding and passion for current affairs
  • A great eye for a good news story
  • Knowledge of editing and newsroom software – particularly iNEWS
  • The ability to remain calm under the pressure of daily deadlines and producing live TV
