*Postponed* Community News Project skills conference and awards

A Community News Project skills conference is being organised by the NCTJ to bring together community reporters for them to network and learn new skills.

The conference and awards will take place at Darlington College at a date and time to be confirmed. This event has been postponed from Friday, 12 May 2023.

The conference will feature a skills masterclass on creating videos for Instagram and TikTok, as well as panel discussions on building your journalism brand and careers after community reporting.

During the conference, we will celebrate community reporters’ successes and stories during an awards presentation.

Categories include connecting communities in challenging times, best campaign over a series of articles and a humour award.

The event promises to be an exciting opportunity and we look forward to seeing as many reporters as possible attending.

Please note, the event is invite-only.
