Reporting polls

Developed in partnership with the British Polling Council and the Market Research Society, this course will explain how and why opinion polls are done, why it’s important to interpret the data they produce effectively, and why polls can provide you with lots of stories.

This course is intended to be a handy guide for students and working journalists on how to report polls and surveys accurately, and to get more stories out of them.

The course will take around 2 hours to work through. You can start at any time and work at your own pace.
