Politics is a far-reaching subject which touches almost all types of journalism whether you are a community reporter, a sports commentator or an arts correspondent. It is therefore important that all journalists are up-to-speed with UK politics and the complexities of the political system as a whole.

In this short course, we will provide an overview of the essential information you need to know when reporting on politics – covering local and central government. The session will also include guidance on reporting on elections in a busy year for elections in the UK and the US.
