The NCTJ, CNN and Journalists’ Charity’s First Jobs Fund are partnering to offer a one-month training and development programme for Journalism Diversity Fund recipients.
Those taking part in the training programme will then complete a six-month paid internship at CNN London from September 2025.
Four places are available, and we are looking for people with a passion for storytelling, fresh ideas, and creativity.
Selected candidates will receive a bursary to support the cost of living during the training period and once on the internship programme they will earn £28,000 p/a (pro-rata) for duration of the internship.
Applications are open between 9 – 20 May 2025. The final stage of the process will be an in-person assessment centre, which will take place at CNN in London during June.
To be considered for this programme you must not have more than two years’ experience working in journalism. Selected candidates will be encouraged to apply for help from the First Jobs Fund to support their travel/cost of living.
