CNN intern applications

WELCOME!

This is the application form for people wishing to take part in CNN’s Internship Development Programme. The application process is being managed by CNN in partnership with the NCTJ.

If successful, you will take part in a 2-month programme of training and induction (starting 8 July 2024), ahead of completing a 6-month paid-internship with CNN from September. During the training programme, you will be able to access a bursary to support you with subsistence, accommodation and travel costs.

The training – overseen by the NCTJ – will cover a wide range of journalistic skills, including gathering information, story-telling, media law, audio and video. You will also, during this initial period, see how the CNN operation works and receive insights from CNN journalists.

You do not need any prior journalism training to apply for this scheme, nor experience of working in journalism.

You will need to be fascinated by the news and have an appetite for becoming a journalist, and for hard work.

You may need up to two hours to fill in this application. Find out how the NCTJ will process your information here. If you have any questions about completing this form, please contact Will Gore
