MA Journalism – University of Sunderland
Learn to be a journalist in our real-world newsroom – the MediaHUB – where you will work alongside journalists from national and regional media. Publish your work on our websites and develop a portfolio of content that will launch your career. Our graduates have gone on to work at BBC News and Sport, Sky Sports News, national newspapers and news agencies, magazines, football clubs and PR Firms.
The course is taught by respected academics and journalism professionals through a combination of workshops, lectures, newsdays and tutorials. You will have the opportunity to go on trips (recent trips have included London, Barcelona and Dusseldorf) and attend masterclasses from industry experts – including visiting professors such as The Daily Mirror’s Kevin Maguire and Good Morning Britain editor Neil Thompson.
