Trainee reporter – Newsquest London (London)

Newsquest London, the home of renowned titles such as The Hamstead and Highgate Express, News Shopper and Romford Recorder, is looking for a trainee reporter bursting with ideas that will help take our digital coverage to the next level.

No day is the same covering news in London and you will be part of a dedicated team setting the agenda with a fast-paced, accurate response to the news that truly matters to our audiences.

The vibrant and energetic London teamwork in a hybrid system, with home working, complemented with regular days in our plush office in Holborn, while reporters are also encouraged to get out on patch to find stories in the communities that they serve.

As part of the reporting team, you will be fast, first and accurate and work alongside like-minded digital reporters publishing stories across our social media and digital platforms, while also working on more in-depth stories covering a range of topics.

You will get support in optimising content for social and search audiences and be required to work within IPSO regulations and legal and ethical guidelines.

The position will involve early shifts and some weekends on a rota basis that is not too intrusive.
