Sports reporter – Watford Observer (Watford)

The Watford Observer has an exciting opportunity for a sports reporter to take on the coverage of one of the liveliest football teams in the country.

Watford FC has a large, passionate fan base and the Observer is the first place they come to for their Hornets news.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a sports reporter, especially in the coverage of football.

They will be ready to get their teeth into the issues that matter most to Hornets fans and brimming with ideas about how to expand the Observer’s digital football coverage.

The successful candidate will excel at running live blogs from games as Watford push for promotion back to the Premier League, as well as breaking exclusive transfer news.

This is a digitally focused role, although there will also be some print responsibilities for the Observer and other titles produced at Newsquest north London.
