Interviews producer – Sky News (Manchester)

What you’ll do:

  • As Interviews Producer you’ll drive efforts to ensure contributors reflect the diverse views, values and experiences of people across Britain
  • Liaise with production teams to identify topics for interviews and debate segments
  • Research interview topics and guests, writing first class briefs for presenters and producers
  • React to breaking news while the programme is on air
  • Book guests and make sure all logistics are arranged to guarantee they make it on air
  • Maintain an excellent contacts book and improve the Sky News database
  • Contribute to editorial meetings suggesting guest ideas and topics

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience of delivering guests
  • A passion for domestic and international news, politics and current affairs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A journalism qualification
