SHORT COURSE PROGRAMME, 2008
Our intimate understanding of how the media work means that the NCTJ has a unique take on training.
We are the foremost training organisation for journalists in the UK, and are recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority as a professional awarding body. Many throughout the print and broadcast media have passed our examinations.
We accredit more than 60 courses at 39 universities, colleges and commercial centres. We have brought all this experience to bear in developing our portfolio of short training courses. These courses reflect media convergence by offering training in the full range of print, broadcasting and online skills. We cover everything from the written word to video, audio and the web.
All our in-house training is bespoke; expressly designed for specific clients and their unique requirements, working with one or more individuals, or a whole team. When we work together, our head of training will consult your key personnel to ensure our training exactly matches your requirements in terms of establishing goals, mapping out training methods to achieve them, and measuring outcomes.
We not only train journalists but anyone who needs journalistic skills. We cater for three key sectors:
· Journalists
· Those who work with journalists
· Those who are required to write or edit at work but who lack journalistic training
