Shorthand refresher
Need a little help with taking down selective shorthand notes? This workshop could be the answer. It offers a chance to brush up on your selective note-taking skills without any exam pressure.
Attendees will discuss and practise taking down selective notes, receive tips on reporting quotes accurately as well as learn how to improve listening and selection skills.
The skill of identifying a key quote and accurately transcribing it is vital for the NCTJ’s senior National Certificate Exam.
Aimed at:
Anyone training to be a journalist or those journalists who need to refresh their skills
Note: This is not a Teeline shorthand speed-building workshop; shorthand theory will not be covered on this course.
You will need to ensure your shorthand is at a minimum of 80wpm prior to attending the event.
