Press Photography and Photo-Journalism

Currently the NCTJ accredits one press photography and one photo-journalism course. Press photography students complete five core study units: photographic knowledge; law for photographers; photographic practice; portfolio; and caption writing for press photographers. Photo-journalism students complete the same core study units as press photographers with the exception of caption writing, which is replaced by news writing for photo-journalists.
