Elective options offered

All accredited courses that deliver the Diploma in Journalism will offer the core subjects: essential media law and regulation, essential journalism (which includes the e-portfolio for journalists),  and essential journalism ethics and regulation.

* Reporting and e-portfolio continues to be delivered on some courses during this transitional year, 2016-17, towards the new structure diploma

Public affairs, shorthand and media law court reporting continues to be delivered on all news journalism courses.

To achieve the full qualification, you will need to complete a number of elective options to gain a minimum of 82 credits. The table below shows which elective options are offered at each centre.
