Stars of the Future
Are you a budding journalist looking to get your work published? Then this is the competition for you!
As part of its 60th anniversary celebrations in 2011, the NCTJ is running a competition for young people interested in a career in journalism.
The competition coincides with Local Newspaper Week, the Newspaper Society’s annual celebration of the strength of regional and local press in the UK. This year, the Week aims to highlight how local newspapers act as champions of their communities, galvanising their readers into action, supporting local businesses, and taking pride in their local area.
Simply write an engaging news story about local issues and you could see your words in print as well as getting the chance to win a cash prize.
The competition is running in partnership with the regional press and is open to anyone aged 16 - 18, living in the United Kingdom.
